Its typically recommended that templates are archived (set not visible) rather than actually deleting them from the database. Deleting templates would normally only be done if template in question was only created for a temporary use and has no value.
 Click the Delete button on the Ribbon:

Attempting to delete a template that is referenced in the Data Module will generate a message similar to this:
In this case, either:
•archive the template by changing the visible setting (recommended) •remove all references to the template, then try deleting again |
 Click the Yes button to confirm:
