Import CAD

Import CAD allows the user to import CAD (*.dwg / .dxf) files into a model.

Ensure that data in the file to be imported is in the same coordinate system as data in the model.  

hs-tip

It's recommended to only layers that are required are imported so as not to cause performance issues caused by data of no relevance.

img_1 Click the Import CAD button to open the Open File dialog:

img_2 Select file to import and click the Open button:

img_3 Select layers to import:

New layers will be created for each layer that is been selected.

img_4 Check for any messages resulting from the import.
