Data is presented using a data grid, consisting of records and columns.  

A single data grid is visible when the selected table is a Record Navigator table or a direct descendent:

At levels beyond this a parent data grid is visible to enable navigation of distant descendent tables. In this case, the top-most grid acts as the parent data grid, with the other acting as the child data grid.  When the selected row is changed in the parent data grid the visible rows in the child data grid change.
