The Data & Report modules are primarily defined by the purpose that they exist; managing data and generating reports.
Each report template is associated to a table that defines:
•Data Module (navigator table) - which table a template is shown on.
•Report Module (filter table) - which table is used to populate record filters.
While they are different by design, both provide reporting capabilities with some key differences:
•Data Module - provides the ability to generate Standard Reports (single template reports) with simple filters and Combined Reports (multiple template reports).
•Report Module - provides the ability to generate Standard Reports (single template reports) with detailed filters.
