Line entities

The Line button is located in the Create group on the Home page.

Model_Create_Line

It allows the user to create lines, import lines from a file and export lines to a file.

These can be added to both the model and section viewports.

img_1 Click the upper portion of the Line button to initiate the process:

img_2  Start clicking points in a model to create the new line (added to the default Lines layer):

To undo the last point, hold down the CTRL key and click the right mouse button (RMB).

img_3  To complete the line, click the right mouse button (RMB).  

img_4  The process is canceled by pressing the ESC key, or click the Line button on the ribbon again.

img_1 Click the Import Lines button:

img_2 Select the file to import:

img_3 Data is added to the model (added to the default Lines layer):

img_1 Select the lines that you want to export (may require that the layer is unlocked to allow selection):

img_2 Click the Export Lines button:

img_3 Select the folder to export data into and set the file name:
