It's recommended that Text entities are created in the Plan (2D) environment where the elevation (Z) is automatically set and there are no perspective issues:

Click the Text button (located in the Create group on the Home page) to begin the creation of a new text entity:

Select the insertion point:

Once the insertion point is set the Text Settings dialog is shown:

Once the text to display and other properties have been set, click the OK button:

The new text entity will be added to the model:

Click on another point to create another text entity, or press the ESC key (or click the Text button on the ribbon again) to cancel.

Double-clicking a Text entity will show the Text Settings dialog:

Once property changes have been made, click the OK button.

To move the entire entity, use the Move (2D) tool.
