Layers are typically auto-generated when creating or importing data.
The user may want to move these entities to another layer to simplify the management of data in the model.
This is achieved by adding a new layer then moving data onto the layer using the Assign To Layer tool.

New layers can only be added in the Model (3D) environment. Layers cannot be created in the Plan (2D) environment as this is intended for data that is shown in drawings. |
