When the parent data grid and child data grid grids are both shown they are separated by a splitter that can be moved and rotated.
Position
The splitter position can be changed by clicking on the splitter bar and dragging it to a new position:
Orientation
The splitter orientation can be changed between horizontal and vertical by clicking the Splitter Orientation button on the ribbon or in the contextual menu:
