Each project may have one of more model files depending on the projects size and requirements.
Buttons to perform common file operations are located in the Quick Access Menu:
•Save - users can manually save the current model or create a copy with a new model name.
•Open - provides the option to open an existing model or backup file, and open the file locations.
•New - use this option to create a new model from scratch.
When working with files from a network location there may be bandwidth limitations.
To avoid these issues, the model files are cached on the local device so as to minimize performance issues while working with a model.
When the model file is saved, this is done locally before being passed to a background process that uploads that file back to the network location.
When closing the Visualisation Module there may be a delay as the model file is saved and uploaded back to the network location.
Models are automatically backed up every 15-minutes while the program is active (paused when not focused).
Backups are saved to the network location on a background process.
Additionally, the user will be prompted to save the model when closing the Visualisation Module or when the selected project is changed.
