Ground from TIN

The Ground From TIN option automatically converts data from a ASCII TIN (*.tin) file into a triangulated surface that is added to the Ground layer.

hs-caution

Ensure that data in the file to be imported is in the same coordinate system as data in the model.  
If not, the model may become unresponsive / fail if the extent of the model is too large.

hs-tip

CORE-GS implements the ASCII TIN format internally for export and import between models.

img_1 Click the Ground From TIN button to open the Open File dialog:

img_2 Select file to import and click the Open button:

img_3 All data in the file is used to create a ground surface that is added to the Ground layer:
