Split Depth is used by log templates (scaled representations of depth related data) and is only visible when the feature group is shown.
Split Depth is used to determine the page where rendering will transfer from a soil page to a rock page in specifically configured templates. The page where the Split Depth occurs is rendered once with the soil template and once with the rock template, resulting in two pages covering the same depth range.
