The Views group is located on the far left of the Home page on the ribbon.
The user can use these buttons to switch the model viewport between Plan (2D) and Model (3D) environments and to show / hide the section viewport.
Changing the model viewport between Plan (2D) and Model (3D) environments changes the layers that are shown and the functionality that is available.
The Plan (2D) environment is designed for pseudo-2D viewing of a model with simple layer controls.
In this environment the user has the ability to import a ground surface, import imagery and define alignments for sections.
The Model (3D) environment users have advanced capabilities with full layer control, material assignment, surface tools, import/export functionality and 3D tools.
